This term in reading we are diving into a novel study for the book “Wonder” by R.J. Palacio.  This week we are focusing on what we can learn about the characters, especially through their dialogue.  Characters’ thoughts and feelings can be revealed through their dialogue.  This allows readers to make inferences about their internal perspectives and motivations.

We read Part One Chapters 5-7 which was about…

Our first task was to choose dialogue from the relevant chapter and use the dialogue to infer what each of the characters’ thoughts may have been.  Here is my work : embed your Driving task.

Our second task was to imagine we are part of a welcoming committee at Beecher Prep, and create a warm and inviting poster to welcome August, the main character in the story. Our poster had to reflect the school’s values of ki.

This week for reading we were reading this book called wonder its about a boy wondering what he will be in the future we will see

First Miss Tele’a told us what to do & then sent us off to get our chromebook & start our work this work was easest on that i have done throught the year.

Next i was half way through my work so i started typing what happen in the story so far then i did the list of three words & the meaning that i wrote what happen in the story.

Lastly i was finally done & showed Miss Tele’a & then i started blogging it & then put it onto my blog i was done & then link it onto my hand it in & my must do list.

I enjoyed writng what happen in the story so far

I need work on adding more details to my work & blog

This week for reading we have been revising how to use the text to answer literal questions.  Literal questions focus on the who, what, where, and when of the text.

Readers can find the answers to literal questions in the words and pictures of the text. Literal questions do not leave room for interpretation.  Practicing this will help us with our assessments this week.

I did well at highliting

I need to improve on knowing my adjectives words

This new week & new term we were doing SSR Selfie for reading.

First Miss Tele’a was giving us an example for what to do for reading & then she sent us off to get our chromebook & start our read theory quizzes.We had to do 5x & then go on to our SSR Selfie when your done.

Next I was done with my read theory & then i can go onto my SSR Selfie i started it & I chose the book fantsy sports 2 for my SSR Selfie.

Last i am done i started blogging it & went on my SSR Selfie & put it onto my blog & then started to write my words for my blog post.

I enjoyed reading on read theory.

I need work on knowing different type of hard words for me..

This week we have been learning about sharks

First Miss Tele’a gave us an example for each slide & we went off to get our chromebook & start our work

Next i was almost done finishing my work & i get to finish it & then i showed Miss Tele’a & she said i can blog it

Lastly i was done writing my blog & published

Lastly i was done & then i telled Miss Tele’a what i can do & then she said i can do can do’s or legends of learning

This week we were learning about this book called The bright family it’s on epic books & you should read it

First Miss Tele’a gave us an example to what we do & then we went off & started to do our work & then i was halfway there & i was getting help from a friend.

Next i was finish & i was showing Miss Tele’a & then she said i can blog it on to my blog post & then i was done & then showed Miss Tele’a & then you can publish it

Lastly i link it onto my Must Do’s List

Today I was learning about James Busby & Queen Elizabeth.

First I made a copy of it & started on Queen Elizabeth & then I was halfway there.

Next I was finished with Queen Elizabeth’s DLO & now I was onto my James Busby & then I was half way through it.

Lastly I was finish with both of them then I asked Miss Tele’a & shared the work with her & she said I can blog it & then I started blogging them in the same blog post because she said.

I enjoyed doing the work.

Today Me Micaela Ataahua was doing detective work

First Miss Tele’a was explaning what we were doing then we went off to get our chromebook & started working on it

Next Me Ataahua & Micaela was teaming up to do the work so we can get it done faster we were almost finshed doing it

Lastly we were finished Miss Tele’a told the people who were finish to come down on the mat & present your work that you have done we went first then Rayfel & Semi then Roman & Kendric & then Amrley & Dito.

Today me & Ataahua was working together on making connections so we can finish our work faster

First I made a copy of the work & ask if Ataahua wanted to work with me & she said yes so we started doing the work.

Next we were messing up a little bit then we actually work this time

Lastly we were done & started blogging onto my blog post
