Reuse & Attribute An Image

This week for cybersmart we were learning about Reuse Attribute An Image

First Mrs Mclain gave us an example of what to do & then sent us off me & Hasna started helping each other because we were kinda getting stuck.

Next i was on my last slide by doing the image part i was done & showed Mrs Mclain & then i started bloggin & then i started writing my blog caption.

Lastly i was done & put it into my Cybersmart folder & then posted it onto my blog & then link it to the must do list.

I enjoyed doing the image part that was really hard but fun

I need work at knowing my license type

Wonder Ch 8-10

This term in reading we are diving into a novel study for the book “Wonder” by R.J. Palacio.  This week we are trying to understand the characteristics and personalities of key characters in the story.  We also practiced summarisation  skills by extracting relevant details from the text.We had to read Part One Chapters 8-10 which was about auggie meeting Mr Tushman & meeting new students.

Next, we used what we had read to answer our slides about the key characters.

Decimal Numbers

This week we were learning about decimal numbers.

First Miss Tele’a gave us an worksheet she gave us numbers in words & we have to write them in numbers & then when were finish we can link it to the hand it in & then we start on our DLO we have to show them an example of what we were doing.

Next we i was done with my DLO & then i started blogging those two work on the same blog & then i started writng the blog caption & then i finish blogging & then i blog it & then i put it on the must do list.

Lastly i was finish & went to Mrs Sinclair & she said i have to do e-ako so i went on e-ako & then i started doing it until it is lunch time.

I enjoyed doing the DLO & put the arrows on that was really fun

I need work on knowing my decimal numbers more actually a lot

Designs

For Inquiry I designed a bookmark and a pencil case for the Gala on november 29th. All classes in this school will be selling stuff to raise school money.

First I went into my group and we designed one pencil case and one book mark.

Next I went into the slides were LS1 can put our designs in.

I enjoyed doing this task. What I did well was when I made my pencil case designs. I need to improve on my final parts on to my pencil case.

Sprinting/PE

This week in HPE I have been sprinting, and I have been learning the proper stance for, ready, set, go.

We sprinted 3 times each. I came fourth on the first one second on the second one and trird on the third one.

We also got taught how to get ready, like our stance.

Next we did the last race of the finalists where my freind Fern and Jenisis came first and second.

Happy Halloween

This week I did something fun. I made a google drawing about HALLAWEEN the scrayiest day of the year. I also designed a creepy face for halloween.

Halloween is about having fun and celebrating the dead. Halloween began as a pagan holiday celebrating the lives of those who had passed. But for us kids Halloween is about trick or treating, it is where you knock on someone’s door and say “trick or treat” and they’ll give you candy or other sweats. Sadly I did not go trick or treating this year for other reasons.

Anger Issues Blurb

This week we were doing our story blurb if you don’t know what blurbs are the blurbs are the words at the back of a book & it’s telling you what the story is about. Here is my blurb

It’s already 2023 & Vika is still what she was when she was just five years old & if you wondering who Vika is she is the really mad girl people met she is an only child with split parents she find out really bad news about her parents her parents were split up because they didn’t want Vika & because they weren’t her real parents she found out her parents  were trapped in a cage for ten years from her therapist she called her friends Michael & Stokley for help. Wonder

This term in reading we are diving into a novel study for the book “Wonder” by R.J. Palacio.  This week we are focusing on what we can learn about the characters, especially through their dialogue.  Characters’ thoughts and feelings can be revealed through their dialogue.  This allows readers to make inferences about their internal perspectives and motivations.

We read Part One Chapters 5-7 which was about…

Our first task was to choose dialogue from the relevant chapter and use the dialogue to infer what each of the characters’ thoughts may have been.  Here is my work : embed your Driving task.

Our second task was to imagine we are part of a welcoming committee at Beecher Prep, and create a warm and inviting poster to welcome August, the main character in the story. Our poster had to reflect the school’s values of ki.

Ordering Numbers



This week for Maths we had to go back and learn about Decimal’s.

First we had to get sent off from Mrs Sinclair to put it into smallest to largest.

Then we had to start from the top to make it in order.

After that we had to  check it.#

Secondly we had to tell Mrs Sinclair we were finished & what to do next.

Finally we had to do Eako.

I did will at understanding.

I enjoyed doing this.

I need to improve on not talking.
